So I was watching a show the other day and this building came up in a group of photographs. I had never seen it before. So of course I went and looked it up again because I just found it so visually interesting. It is the Flatiron building in New York built in the early 20th century. I think the thing that struck me the most was obviously its triangular shape, because buildings are almost never triangular. Then the second biggest surprise was its history and when it was built. It amazes me to look at history and things that people could accomplish back before computers and advanced tools! I suppose looking and researching landmarks like these make me appreciate how far we’ve come in such little time. Still, with all the technology there is, I still find myself more inspired by structures like these and photography like this, and am really a sucker for historic beauty.
